Welcome to Inspiring Your Child!
We are planning on slowly reopening the Inspiring Your Child programming. This July we will be offering a few Summer Camp and Summer Craft Day options using a secure online Zoom meeting. We are also starting to plan for Fall after school options.
Each week will consist of five, 1 hour playful online classes that are focused on an overall theme and children's literature. The sessions will be held on Zoom with both Ms. Julia and Ms. Liz. They will also be in the morning to allow for some family fun afternoons. Students should wear old clothes and have a space where things can get messy and experiment. If they don’t have time to finish everything they can always explore some more once the session is over. We have split things up into different age groups so please look for the age level when signing up. Zoom links and pick up information will be sent to you after your purchase.
Supplies will be safely handled and distributed to all participants through a pick up and go model. Paper, 3D Materials, and project specific tools will be provided for each camp and are priced into each week’s overall price.
However, there are some materials that are only available through the two Starter Packs. The two starter supply packs are being offered separately in case you are missing some materials or if you already have some and want to only purchase the ones you need. They are located in the classes tab. Each camp offering has a list of materials used in each session that are only in one of the Starter Packs. If you do not have some of those materials please take a look at purchasing the Pack with the needed materials. Our hope is that this option will allow you to only purchase what you need or want to use later for creating summer-long art.
Summer Craft Days: To see the Summer Craft Day options please go to the classes tab.
The Summer Craft Days are a single online Zoom session that go for an hour for ages 6-10 with both Ms. Liz and Ms. Julia. One big craft or a few smaller crafts will be introduced during the session. Students should wear old clothes and have a space where things can get messy and experiment. If they don’t have time to finish everything they can always explore some more once the session is over. Please take a look at the Summer Camp section above this for information about getting Supplies, Starter Packs, and Zoom links.
We are working towards opening up an after school art and movement program in the fall. With the current concerns about Covid-19 we will be offering this program online until at least the spring depending on how things progress.
The fall programming will include making your own art journal, stop action animation, working with fiber art, story based art, and much more. If you have an idea or suggestion please share with us.
Please keep an eye out for updates as the summer progresses or make sure to check in with us before September!
